CG Animation
Below are several projects that I animated using Maya 2020.
An Artist and His Tools
This was a group project I was apart of as part of ART 442 at CSUN
U.S.S. Solaria
I Created this animation as part of ART 364 at CSUN it was my first full animation where I created the models, textured, rigged, and animated all in Maya
This was the second major animation project that I worked on in my Spring 2022 term. I was tasked with selecting a piece of dialogue from a T.V. Show or Movie and then create an acting scene that fit the dialogue. For my piece I selected a line from Michelle Forbes Admiral Cain from Syfy’s 2004 Battlestar Galactica. In addition the character and rig that is being used is the Mery rig by MeryProject.com
This project was one of two major animation projects I worked on in my Spring 2022 term. This character was created in a previous term however I was able to take the model through the rigging and animation process to create an attitude walk. The rigging process was rather straightforward we took advantage of the Advanced Skeleton 5 system to create the initial rig. From here it was off to adding appropriate paint weights. Once the paint weights had been adjusted I completed a deformation test where I moved each control that was made in order to check that the model was deforming correctly. With the rig created my next task was to create a walk cycle for her that would show that she was walking in heavy armor. After a few revisions I was able to capture a walk cycle that showed her walking in the armor.
This walk cycle was created using The Morpheus Rig created by Josh Burton. I completed this walk cycle for my Spring 2022 term Advanced Animation course at CSUN.
Robot Animation
After the model was completed in Zbrush I brought it into Substance Painter for textures and then into Maya for rigging and a simple animation
